Liverpool have finally gotten themselves off the mark in the summer transfer window with less than 72 hours now remaining for deals to be finalised.
Arne Slot has been made to show his patience over recent months with Liverpool taking their time in the market.
However, the Reds finally have their man with goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili now an official Liverpool player after being announced on Tuesday night.
But there is still time for Liverpool to push through some further additions on Merseyside before the end of play on Friday.
Over recent days, Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool with talks now ongoing between clubs.
The Italy international would mark an exciting arrival at Anfield, but he may not be the only player Richard Hughes could sign before the window shuts.
Richard Hughes eyeing another Liverpool deal alongside Federico Chiesa
It has certainly been a hugely underwhelming summer at Anfield when it comes to the transfer window.
The Reds have been made to wait until the final days of the market to see their first signing come through the door with Mamardashvili.
However, it does appear with talks ongoing between Liverpool and Juventus for Chiesa, there could be an exciting ending ahead for the fans.

According to GiveMeSport, those inside Anfield are now claiming there could also be a defender added to the squad before Friday night.
This comes as Liverpool defender Joe Gomez could leave the club this week with Aston Villa showing an interest.
If the Englishman is to depart over the coming days, it has been described as ‘crucial’ for the Reds to replace him with another versatile option.
And insiders at Liverpool are now suggesting that will happen if the 27-year-old does move on over the final hours.
Liverpool could have wrapped up their transfer business earlier
Fortunately for the Liverpool board, Slot’s side have made the perfect start to the new campaign with two victories on the board.
However, the lack of transfer business done on Merseyside is a real puzzle considering there is a clear desire to add players.
Of course, Liverpool did try to sign Martin Zubimendi but were rejected by the midfielder, in the end.
But Chiesa is a player who has been publicly stated to not be in Thiago Motta’s plans at Juventus for this season.
The Italian has been available for weeks now and, yet, Liverpool are waiting until the final days of the window to explore a deal.
Perhaps there is an element of desperation as Chiesa is an exciting addition but he would certainly come with his risks in terms of injuries.
