Liverpool are now into the very final hours of this summer’s transfer window and the clock is not waiting for any club.
After what had been a worryingly quiet summer transfer window, Liverpool have finally been able to get two transfers over the line.
Although one of them has to be caveated by the fact Giorgi Mamardashvili will be returning straight back to Valencia on a season-long loan.
However, Liverpool did also confirm the signing of Juventus winger Federico Chiesa on Thursday who will be ready to go on the weekend.
But there is still work that could be done on Merseyside with Liverpool having been rejected by Martin Zubimendi earlier in the window.
With the likes of Richard Hughes at the helm, Liverpool have some very solid plans in place when it comes to how they’ll act in the transfer window.

Liverpool transfer plans shared as deadline day begins
In reality, Liverpool may not have needed to make huge changes over Arne Slot‘s first summer at the club.
However, the Dutchman may have been hoping for more than just one new face for the new campaign with Chiesa.
But it has been claimed that Liverpool are eyeing one more deal before the end of play tonight.
Speaking on the Transfer Talk podcast, David Ornstein has provided insight into the plans behind the scenes at Liverpool as the pressure piles on them to do more in the market.
“I don’t think that the Liverpool hierarchy will be in any way disturbed by this transfer window,” said Ornstein.
“There’s been a lot of noise around. What happened with Zubimendi, no alternative afterwards, but they didn’t seek an alternative unless it was going to be right for them.
“Determined to be brave and have the courage of their convictions to do what they think is right for Liverpool in this window, in future windows, be prudent and responsible with Liverpool’s finances, because they can’t just spend recklessly like some other clubs have done. They can’t afford to.
“They try and operate a self sustaining model. And despite what everybody is saying on social media and in the mainstream media, people like us, they’ll do their own thing.”
Liverpool set for a huge year amid contract concerns
Liverpool have some hugely important players now playing into the final year of their contracts on Merseyside.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are all at risk of being lost by Liverpool for nothing next summer.
If Liverpool are going to retain any of them, Slot is going to require a big season to show what he is capable of leading this Liverpool side towards.
But as Ornstein has alluded to, the Reds will not be deterred if they do lose some of their big players with the board surely already planning for that possibility.
